Can I turn on GPS for my camera?

GPS functionality is available only for Horizon body cameras. Currently, users can't enable or disable GPS themselves through Vault but here’s how it works and what you need to know.

GPS is usually configured before your camera is dispatched. At the time of order, you’ll be asked whether GPS should be:

  • Always on (tracking continuously)

  • Only on when recording

If you’re unsure how your devices were configured or you’d like to change your GPS settings, please contact our Support Team at support@halosbodycams.com. Be sure to specify your preferred GPS mode.

Please note, there are requirements for GPS to work:

  • The camera is powered on

  • It has a network connection (Wi-Fi or 4G)

  • It has a strong GPS signal (the GPS icon will appear green on the device )
