What's in the box
Let's get your Nano body camera up and running! Start by getting familiar with your camera

Getting Started

Turn on your camera
Turn the camera on by pressing the power button
- The HALO logo will display on the LCD screen

If successfully powered up , the screen will change to the default display and the left LED light will change to green to indicate it's on standby
- If your camera does not turn on, you may need to charge the battery

Connect your camera to a network
Ensure your camera is connected to a Wi-Fi network. Please note that 4G is not available on Nano cameras
- Your body camera is usually pre-configured with your SSID and password prior to shipping and should automatically connect to this access point once it is in range

Connect your multi-dock station (if you are using one)
Connect the power cable and insert the ethernet cable to one the ports of your multi-dock. Ensure your network dock is plugged into a router or wall socket that provides internet connectivity. Flip the red switch to power it on.
- The LED beside the ethernet connection will flash if there is a live connection

Assign the camera to a user in Vault
Ensure you have been assigned to the camera in Vault if this is not already done. You may need to ask your supervisor to do this

Start recording
The default configuration to start recording is to double tap the Record button.
- The left LED light on the front of the camera will start to pulse red
- It will pulse green when in standby
- A recording timer will appear on the LCD screen
- The left LED light on the front of the camera will start to pulse red

Stop recording
Once you are finished recording, double tap the Record button again to stop capturing footage
- The left LED light on the front will switch to green
- The recording timer will be dismissed

Upload your recording to Vault
Depending on your internet connectivity (Wi-Fi / ethernet), your camera will automatically upload the recording to Vault
- Your camera automatically checks itself every minute for new recordings to upload
- If you place your camera in the multi-dock station to upload your recording via the ethernet connection:
- The right LED light of your camera will turn to blue to indicate it is charging. This will switch to green when full charged.
- The top left of the LCD screen will display
to indicate the camera is in the dock but it has not yet obtained an IP address.
- This symbol should change to green after a few seconds to indicate that the camera has obtained an IP address on the network

- The LCD screen will update to indicate if an upload is in progress. Depending on the size of the recording, this may take around 10 seconds to show on the screen
Upload LCD screen symbols:
Files uploading
e.g. file 6 of 10 is uploading
File upload progress - Once your recording has finished uploading, the file will be deleted from the camera and available for review in Vault
- If your recording is not uploading, please check your camera's connectivity and signal strength
