Adding bookmarks to videos

This feature is useful if you want to mark specific points of interest in a video. To do this you can create bookmarks. 

To create a bookmark in a video: 

1. Log in to your account via the Halo Vault login page:
   1. UK Login: app.halovault.cam
   2. US Login: app.halovault.us
2. Navigate to the Videos section from the sidebar menu
3. Click on the video you want to create a clip from. This will open a more detailed view of the selected video
4. Click the Edit Video button above the clip
   
   
   
   
5. The Edit Asset page will be displayed with a Video Editor and Create New section. Navigate to the Bookmarks tab in the Create New section
6. Select the point of the video you would like to bookmark by dragging your mouse across the audio waveform
7. A prompt will appear for you to enter a name for your bookmark
8. Click Save to create the bookmark. Once processed, your bookmark will appear on the right-hand side table 
   
   
9. In this table, you will also be able to view 3 symbols in the Actions column of your created bookmark. These allow you to:  
   
   1. Play 
   2. Create a clip 
   3. Delete

New Videos Experience

To create a bookmark in the new experience

1. Log in to your account via the Halo Vault login page:
   1. UK Login: app.halovault.cam
   2. US Login: app.halovault.us
2. Navigate to the Videos section from the sidebar menu
3. Click on the video you want to add bookmarks. This will open a more detailed view of the selected video
4. Move to the point in the video you want to add a bookmark
5. Click the Bookmark icon located at the bottom right of the video player 
   
   
   
   

6. A window will open where you can confirm the bookmark timestamp. From here you can also:

   • Adjust the timestamp
   • Add a description
7. Once you have reviewed your settings, click Create Bookmark to create the bookmark.
   
   
   
   
   
8. To view your created bookmarks, click the Bookmarks tab in the top right menu bar 
   
   
9. For all bookmarks created, you will be able to view 2 symbols in the Actions column. These allow you to: 
   
   1. Edit description
   2. Delete
